OMG,I just finished Violets of March in 3 days. It usually takes me about a month to finish a book. I literally couldn’t put it down. Do you know how long it’s been since I’ve read a book I couldn’t put down? Well, I can’t even remember. My favorite book I’ve ever read is the Notebook (of course, it was long before the movie came out), but now, I have two favorites and this ties for number one. When I was 1/2 way through with it the other night, I told my bookclub girlfriends about it and they couldn’t wait to read it too.

Thank you so much for such a WONDERFUL read. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to share. I also can’t wait for “The Bungalow”. You are fantastic. Thanks again!

Have a GREAT weekend!

I have finished The violets of March and I wasn’t ready to close the book on any of the characters. My brother lives in Bremerton and I love the Northwest but have never been to the Island. I’m hoping for a visit in the near future. The characters in this book were vivid, I felt like I knew them each and every. I identified more with the 2 older woman than I should but I am a grandma. I have recommended this book to everyone I see. It has everything one could want in a book, Mystery, romance, secrets, Ill-fated love and some dignity for the heroine in the end. I could almost feel the cold of the wind and the sand between my toes. I am glad it took place in early Spring and not summer. Summer just would not have worked in this book. The author has personal knowledge of wines, that was evident almost from the beginning. That was another plus for this book.

BTW I actually read this book on the days mentioned in the book, how cool is that!

I am writing to win a signed copy of Bungalow. I have read and own Violets of March and Blackberry Winter. Both were incredibly amazing. I read both of them in 2 days! Could not stop reading them. I live in Bremerton but go to school on Bainbridge Island, so it is very cool to read about a place you live:) I look forward to other books by you! Thanks so much!!

Just picked up Blackberry Winter last night from the library. I’ve already read more than half of it, if I did not go to work, I surely would have finished it. Absolutely love the premise, the characters and the writing style. Have already added the others to my Library Bookbag.

Hello Sara, I haven’t read your “Blackberry Winter”, novel yet, but I definately plan to do so. I thought you might be interested in what draws me to it. First, the story’s discription. I am drawn to well written historical novels. Judging from your reader’s posts, your book fits my taste category. Then there’s your book cover, it’s gorgeous, color choices and design, not too much, just right. I am retired art teacher. I taught watercolor usually, in the community colleges and university level. Covers on your previous books are nicely done too. I can’t wait to read “Blackberry Winter!”

I live in a twon of 300 people…yes, there IS aMayberry USA. The library is antiquated, so I have to buy all my books-being a HUGE bookworm, well, that doesn’t really work out so much!
I have wanted to rea ALL of your books, but alas, I haven’t yet won the lottery and don’t have a rich uncle.
I do however, have all of your books in my book wish list-Violets being on the top.
I would so love to win a copy of this book so I know that yes, wishes can & do come true!
