Dreamy Houseboats
Upon hearing that I was writing a novel set on a houseboat, my dear author friend Camille Noe Pagan sent me these photos of dreamy houseboats. I want to move right in!

So excited for you! And in response to your facebook status- I, too, could watch Sleepless in Seattle everyday.
Camille is such the sweet heart for sending those. I might think of you now every time I see a houseboat. That’s what happened with violets!

Living in a houseboat in Seattle has been a fantasy of mine ever since I watched Sleepless in Seattle. I’m an Oregonian, so one weekend I went to Portland to look over their houseboats (not quite like Seattle’s) Actually, I could easily live in the blue houseboat!
I think a mystery that takes place in a houseboat neighborhood would be great!

Hi Sarah– How exciting for you that you have your fourth novel set on / with houseboats. That was an amazing lingering image of Sleepless in Seattle. I had to pass on that I’m traveling to Amsterdam in a few weeks, and we’re staying on a houseboat (instead of a hotel!). So excited! I’ll definitely send you a photo. xo JK
